Who we are

Milab Scientific Trading W.L.L. ("Milab Scientific", "we", "us") is a Qatar-based supplier of medical, laboratory, life science and veterinary solutions. Our address is P.O. Box 30089, Doha, Qatar.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We handle personal data in line with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry through the contact form we collect only what you type into it:

• Your name (required)
• Your organisation (optional)
• Your email address (required)
• Your phone number (optional)
• The division you are interested in
• Your message

Our hosting provider also processes standard technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time — to deliver the website and keep it secure. Please do not include sensitive personal data, such as health information, in your message.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, where you ask, to prepare a quotation.
• To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
• To protect the website and the enquiry form from spam and abuse. For this we briefly use a salted, one-way hash of your IP address in memory to limit how often a form can be submitted; we do not store your IP address for this purpose.

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and on our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and keeping the website secure. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and for 12 months after our last correspondence with you. If we go on to do business together we keep the records our commercial and legal obligations require. After that we delete the details or anonymise them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and handle your enquiry — our email delivery provider and our web hosting provider — and only so they can provide that service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Cookies and third parties

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The "Find Us" section embeds a Google Maps map. When the map loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address and browser details, under Google's own privacy policy. The map loads only when you scroll close to it; the "Open in Google Maps" link goes to Google Maps directly.

If we add analytics or any other non-essential cookie in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before it is set.

Transfers outside Qatar

Our email and hosting providers may process data in other countries. Where that happens we choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, the enquiry form is validated on our server, and access to enquiries is limited to the staff who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate;
• delete your data, or restrict or object to how we use it;
• withdraw your consent, which does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To do any of these, email info@milabscientific.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may also complain to the competent data protection authority in Qatar or, if you are in the EU or UK, to your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and show the date of the latest update at the top.
